Matter is an AI-powered analytics platform that unifies your ecommerce data across marketing channels, sales platforms, and email tools. Connect your data sources and use Matter's AI assistant to surface insights, track performance, and make data-driven decisions — all from a single workspace.

Klaviyo Integration

Overview

Matter's Klaviyo integration connects your email marketing data to the Matter platform, giving you a unified view of email performance alongside your other marketing and sales channels. The integration is read-only — Matter will never modify your Klaviyo account, campaigns, subscribers, or any other data.

Prerequisites

A Klaviyo account with admin-level access
A Matter workspace — create one at app.usematter.ai

Installing the Integration

Log in to your Matter workspace.
Navigate to Settings → Integrations, or connect during initial onboarding.
Click “Connect” next to Klaviyo.
You will be redirected to Klaviyo's authorization page. Review the requested permissions and click “Allow”.
After authorization, you will be redirected back to Matter with your Klaviyo account connected.
If you manage multiple Klaviyo accounts, select which account(s) to connect to your workspace.

The connection uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE (Proof Key for Code Exchange) for security. Matter never stores your Klaviyo password.

Permissions (OAuth Scopes)

Matter requests read-only access to the following Klaviyo scopes. No write, update, or delete permissions are requested.

Data Elements

Matter syncs and stores the following daily aggregate metrics from your Klaviyo account:

Metric	Description
Emails Sent	Total number of emails sent per day
Open Rate	Percentage of delivered emails that were opened
Click Rate	Percentage of delivered emails that received a click
Attributed Revenue	Revenue attributed to email marketing campaigns
New Subscribers	Number of new email subscribers acquired
Net Subscriber Growth	Net change in total subscriber count
Revenue Share	Email marketing revenue as a percentage of total revenue

Data is aggregated at a daily level and refreshed automatically. All access is read-only — Matter cannot send emails, modify subscribers, or make any changes to your Klaviyo account.

Using Klaviyo Data in Matter

Once connected, your Klaviyo data is available throughout the Matter platform:

AI Assistant — Ask questions in natural language, such as “What was my email open rate last week?” or “How much revenue did email drive this month?”
Cross-Channel Insights — View email performance trends alongside metrics from Shopify, Meta Ads, Google Ads, and other connected platforms.
Reports — Generate reports that combine email marketing KPIs with your broader ecommerce performance data.

Disconnecting Klaviyo

Go to Settings → Integrations in your Matter workspace.
Find your Klaviyo connection.
Click “Disconnect”.

Disconnecting revokes Matter's access tokens and stops all data syncing. Previously synced data will be removed from your workspace.

Other Supported Integrations

Matter supports a growing list of ecommerce and marketing integrations:

Shopify — Sales, orders, and storefront data (requires admin access)
Meta Ads — Ad spend, impressions, and conversion data (requires ad account permissions)
Google Ads — Campaign performance and ad spend data (requires Account ID)
Google Analytics — Website traffic and user behavior data
TikTok Ads — Ad performance and spend data
Amazon — Selling Partner, Vendor, and Ads data

Each integration uses OAuth or secure API keys. Matter requests only the minimum permissions needed and uses read-only access wherever possible.
